Has anyone on here ever built anything similar to the below? Any hints, tips or general feedback??
I was thinking you could essentially make the feeder as long as you like, but no doubt there will be some drawbacks.
It looks like it would give a more natural angle for the calves to suck at for a start.
My idea was to have an IBC tank on a platform above the height of the pipe inlet, with a mixer and heater in the IBC to mix large volumes of milk, and and L bend into the pipe opening.
Then simply have a screw on cap or an L bend that can be turned on the other end to drain and clean it.
Could also be quite cheap to make a number of them or one large one.
One thing I'm not sure on is what teats would be best to use, that would be simple to fit and replace and would work.
I can't find anything that feeds a decent number of calves efficiently, without spending serious £££, unless someone can point me in the right direction?
