DIY concrete grooving

Does anyone know if it’s possible to hire a machine for concrete grooving? Ideally based in the south west

We have one near here who hires a machine out. They are in south west but a different country!

We hired a scrabbler from Travis Perkins £150 for a week only roughs the surface, We’ve got someone in next week to grove it as they do a good job.

Yeah. Scabblers don't groove deep enough.
Not cheap but valmot is a proper job. 175hp and diamond discs. Groove very similar to Accustep and cows are now happy

Yeah grooving saves cows, we find the squares just need roughing to give extra grip as they can go shiny.

Rent a scabbler but take out most of the cutters except where you want the grooves. You will need a bag full of appropriate sized washers to act as spacers. Not as good as valmot or a diamond groover but better than nothing.

We used a scrabbler. We then decided to do the job properly and got it grooved. Massive difference compared to what we had. If I could do it again I'd just get it grooved from the off and have done with it.
