Dmax alternator

My alternator is goosed, did notice it getting slower to start recently and now the battery is dead and doesn’t appear to be getting any charge at all and the battery dash lamp comes and goes, and the pulley was hot to the touch tonight. In the last few weeks as I’ve been going through puddles I’ve noticed the belt squealing for a wee while afterwards, I’m wondering was it the water that goosed it, or at 77k it was on its way out and was squealing because the bearing seals were knackered?

Has anyone changed one? Looks like it’ll be coming out underneath?

Did you try tightening the belt?? If it was squealing, especially after getting wet,it needed tightening and would cause the pulley to get warm. It would also explain the light coming and going.....

The belt is tight, wasn’t slipping today but pulley was hot, starting to sound a bit different too, pretty convinced it’s goosed. 2013 model so out of warranty
