Do my rams have fleece rot??

I have two teasers, one a Dorset and one a Zwartble...both have what may be fleece rot, I am not sure. Can anyone advise? Never seen anything like it before. Areas of the fleece are hard and almost metallic-like....sounds stupid but that's what it's like. Crusty, hard, silvery coloured wool...it doesn't seem to be annoying them too much in fairness, they aren't failing because of it but it's very unsightly and I don't want to cropping up.in other breedng stock that I intend to sale.

Anyone any answers?? Help!
