What are you putting in them if concentrate I would say metal if silage or tmr wooden then a Brocken bourd can be replaced. I think they are also better it they sit on the floor too so they are solid. A local fabricator makes all our stuff I'm fed up of lightweight iae Bateman etc they just seem to get thinner and thinner metal

Thanks all for replies , the barriers will be swinging like gates to fence of pens , and would be handier to operate if all combined
Silage and beet mainly , so wooden is Prob best , or at least wooden floor and front folded sheet to keep weight down ?

the new troughs from pre galv sheet will not last as long as the ones you would buy 20/30 years ago the pre galv coat is thinner if any where near silage get wood if the extra weight is not a problem

Forgotten about big twin walled drainage pipe , may price it up
@JD-Kid
use the non ribbed stuff ..we used to use it in to foresty for a slide to get posts out dropped trees over it slid posts down it etc and it lasted ok

in aussie they had the same shape 1/2 -1/3 round concrete sat in pillers with U shape on the top (pipe sat in the u shape if that makes sence ) so off the ground
