You've just been complaining of intolerance on this thread and yet go and post this? 🤷‍♂️ If you're gonna just have knives out for everyone what is the point of even using a discussion forum? That's just going to descend into a poisonous snake pit, surely.

What's to discuss? With someone like that.

If I engage at all beyond this they'll at best spend the next few days spouting pseudoscience.

One wet day in July I got the mrs to get some tickets to go on the train from Langwathby to Leeds to take the daughter. A couple of stops down the way a lad got on with his dog, he was a slaughter man/ meat cutter from Carlisle. There was a bit of a commotion when he got on about his dog. He had a ticket for it so it had a seat, when he explained to the rail people it wasn’t a dog it identified as a black lesbian then all was good again.

I'm offended by your comment of it.
I had to go back and find out which Smith you were on about. I was really offended because I thought you meant Robert however you didn't so all's well.

66k members. Safe to assume that many hundreds will be lesbian/gay.
We know, for sure, that Muslims are members. Important posts made about keeping abattoirs going.
Yet there is a constant dribble of homophobic and racist posts.
Often presented as humour, or thinly disguised as political comment.
The vast majority of posters on here will choose to ignore it, because it doesn't offend them.
It's the worst excuse in the world, and it doesn't make it alright.
Oh yeah and don't mention the Antipodeans!!!
Fair to say some of the abuse in forums and private messages from members in the UK is totally unacceptable, but we roll with it because quite honestly we don't give a fúck.
Equally given the stigma that primary industry recieves, then explain why our opinions, beliefs and practices allowed to be ridiculed and or persecuted???
Hypocrisy especially from the "left" and media is fair game to be challenged whether you like or agree with it or not.

At the moment? we here, live in a "free" society, better here than most places in the world, but for how long? now ive not got much of a problem with what you get up to in the privacey of your own home, but what really gets me is when certain people try to "impose/force their values" on others, bad enough to have that when your an adult and have had, seen some life? but teachers, or teaching children about the teachers, own views opinions, no no no? We have had some very disturbing recent examples, such as teachers taking children out of school for pro palestein protests and far the worst, "influenceing " children about their sexaul identitiy without the parents knowing or getting permission?

I agree, I have little time for the vegan industry, and you won't find anyone more anti organic farming than me on TFF (although that doesn't go down well) I'm just pointing out that not all vegans are the same. They all get hammered on here though.

Seeing as veganism poses an existential threat to anyone who rears livestock if the movement had gained substantial traction, I can fully understand why.

Plus it is not an especially healthy lifestyle without taking significant supplements whereas a diet that contains dairy negates that.

Ergo, as a dairy farmer, I refuse to have any truck with vegan foodstuffs or would darken the door of any vegan establishment

Ever heard of section 28?
This road has been travelled.
It doesn't go anywhere.

Seems an odd thread to be started by someone who spends more time calling other people names than anyone else here, just because they have a different opinion to yours. Such a shame when you evidently have the best interests of ag at heart and a good level of knowledge and experience.

So me throwing in the occasional muppet is akin to the comments on the thread that prompted me to start this thread ? Nah. Muppet.

Plenty of people can't have dairy not just vegans. As I said I'm no fan of the vegan industry, I don't buy the "vegan option" or anything with organic written on it for that matter but have no problems with the individual making a choice as long as it is not forced on others.
Tarring them all with the same brush, as happens on here is like saying all farmers are subsidy grabbing, millionaires who inherited everything. That's not fair either is it.
We're all humans on planet earth.
