True to an extent but one is definitely ONLY used to be pejorative

I can't agree with that.
That would only be the case if you know the person saying it is trying to be deliberately racist or offensive which is quite rare.
And then I see no problem with deliberately being offensive.
When we wish to offend, the standard form is " You are a blinking X Y"
Where X is a descriptive term and Y is the insult.
X could refer to race, nationality, occupation, religion, gender or whatever else seems most appropriate and usually distinguishing at the time. Which should be fine as long as X is incidental to Y.

I can't think of an instance where someone who may be homosexual or bisexual is referred to as a "tank top bum bandit" in any sense other than being pejorative - or am I missing something? And yes it was stated on here by a TFFer , presuambly citing the original reference from Johnson in his Spectator days

I have not seen that written before but strikes me as a deliberate attempt to be comical rather than insulting. The kind of banter one might hear in a gay club.

I guess it one black man calls another the N word that's Ok but not for anyone else. Same for that

No I see it as someone heterosexual using a pejorative / disparaging description.

No need for the f. Alice is my Daughter, referred to in a previous post
As you now know it's a joke, a very well known joke, which you were offended by as you thought it was insulting to your daughter, yet you have on quite a few occasions posted pictures of other people's daughter's in the ooooh thread and have also "liked" other pictures in that thread, which COULD be seen as objectifying women, now as a red bloodied male I admire the female form, as you do, but there are many ladies who would be outraged by you posting or liking pictures of a sexual nature of women regardless how much flesh was on show.
The problem is it's very easy to be offended by something or someone yet equally it's very easy to offend someone else by doing something that is perfectly natural and unintended to offend, sometimes I think it's those easily offended that are the most offensive to others who disagree with them. It's pretty easy to see in this thread.

So it's ok for a farmer to say straw chewing yokel but not for anyone else to say it ?

Hang on. I wasn't offended, I just said no need for the F. Big big difference

I see no conflict with liking and contributing to the Ooh thread so long as the image was willingly taken at the time and appropriate (eg over age of consent etc). No conflict whatsoever

Are you saying tank top bum bandit is appropriate then? I think we have different views

There's sex, and there's gender. Some people feel they are themselves when they follow their inclination for gender (a socially imposed set of behaviours), and not their biological sex. They are trans people.

Biological sex is either male or female, but modern genetics has found that not all males are absolutely male, and not all females are absolutely female. Humans have never been otherwise. It's our natural state.

We're a wonderfully complex species.
Ah, so bit like a freemartin then

Of course you were offended why else say no need for it, the poster isn't known for using the F word so didn't you wonder why he did,
YOU don't see a conflict, and I often look in that thread but others probably do, I suspect lots think in today's world that thread is appalling and sexist, that is the point what one person thinks is acceptable another finds unacceptable but it's often those who find something ok who are out spoken against something they don't like, we either need to be squeaky clean and pure or accept that others would say something that isn't meant to be offensive but we wouldn't say ourselves.
We are all capable of double standards, I am, the hard part is admitting it, to be honest I'm not sure it's such a crime to be so

I said no need for the F, not that I was offended

As I asked before WHO should not see that tank top bum bandit is pejorative - as an example
