Dog box for quad & gator

I’m looking for a dog box that I can put on the back of the quad and in the gator. Current dog keeps falling from the quad unless I have him on my knee. Not ideal when he’s wet and mucky. He’s quite a big collie.

Just wondering what other people used and where to get them from.

Any suggestions welcome.

Many thanks

Can you not make a three sided box with a floor and rubber mat so he can sit behind you?
I did think about something like that. The only trouble is the dog is a bit daft. If he slips or goes off balance he makes no attempt to save himself. He just goes floppy and falls. He then looks round like he’s in trouble for getting off without being told to.

Here is ours with a nice bit of non slip carpet ( English wool naturally)
Be Careful as the last dog that fell off the back of ours cost £2500 to put right

That’s what worries me. He’ll either break a leg or I’ll run over him if I’m towing something behind the quad.

My older dog has superb balance & control on whatever she rides on. I’m guessing he’ll get better but it’s a slow learning curve!

Accidents still happen though, in my case the dog lived on the quad but that day he was alongside and just decided to jump on as I set off and he lost his balance and fell over the back. The stock board was put on hopefully to help, a few years and bikes ago and so far so good

One of my bitches hates sitting on the back but happily sits on the nearside footplate with my leg on the outside, actually works very well and can go fast up the road very securely

Funnily enough I had this exact thought this afternoon following a gator going quit some speed for a few miles with a lab teetering on the edge trying to jump out had me pretty nervous especially when it got its paws caught in the lashing bar on the side. Remember a dog jumping out of a pickup going 70 + on the way to Cornwall one day poor hound
