Looks who's back (for the third time since the attack)

You hold no liability. It might encourage them to fence them in better. We have land next to an arsehole that lets his sheep roam on our land. Has no interest in retrieving them and refuses to believe he has any responsibility to keep his stock in. We spent a long time being nice, friendly and laid back. Now wish we hadn't as he takes the p**s. Be polite but blunt. Try not to fall out but it is inevitable that if they don't fix it, either you do or the relationship will take a rapid downturn.

Well unfortunately the previous owner of their property put the stock net up upside down (for some reason), so these guys are squeezing through, although they look too big! It is at least a time limited problem, but i can see it reoccurring each year if they don't fix it
Our neigbour used to put stock netting upside-down so the pheasants could walk through it.

I’m sorry but no way on god heavenly earth are those sheep coming through the squares in stock fence upside down or not! There’s got too be a different problem somewhere

I could have a more detailed look at the fence, but it's not really my problem.
They do seem to melt through it in no time, one could suspect holes underneath but it's been put up in the last 4 years and no stock against it to dig under.

It is your problem, they are eating your grass.

Open the gate and encourage them onto the road.

Why on earth would anyone want 10 dogs , beggars belief .
Well everyone needs 2 or 3 terriers around 'cos they're fun, then you need 2 or 3 cockers for shooting & picking up if you are to do it seriously, then a lab or two for wildfowling, then a rottweiler to keep the caravan lot at bay. There's 9, & that's without looking after a hound or two for your mate for a couple of season's until he's sorted his missus out, then your wife needs a pet.

How many shoes have you got BTW?

PS
I wouldn't keep a dog that wasn't proof against stock, mind, wherever the stock are.

we have 10 dogs, some with known history and that's without general high prey drive and pack behaviour.

I assume I hold no liability here?

You have a problem with straying sheep so go and have a look at the fence as new netting will not let sheep through and your dogs will easily go the other way.
However you have a bigger problem with the 10 dogs you describe. A dog with history should be chained up or muzzled. No properly trained dog should be attacking a lamb or anything else on your property no matter how they got there. An intruder in your living room maybe but not something or someone out in your field.
