Beware.........Ofgen are not especially helpful. We had an audit recently. Turns out the original EPC was overly enthusiastic with the energy use figure according to the auditor. By design or error I don't know. I can only get sight of the auditors report following an FOI application,20- 40 working days before I get to see it,but significant differences were discovered in area, construction etc.I now have to get another EPC done by a certified EPC bod,(as the original one was). Then I presume we will have to pay back some RHI/get docked whats left.Original installers packed in years ago, they employed the EPC guy,I paid him, and he has within the last 7 months packed in/changed company name too. Now it seems the cock up if that's what it is,is entirely down to me. The guy was employed in good faith,as are lawyers, accountants, mechanics etc because I'm none of them,so it has pi**ed me off being held to account for someone elses "expertise" being faulty. How am I supposed to know a certified person is not up to the job? Probably shouldn't mention the words Domusa and Viro, but some will get the picture. Anyway, read the small print and be very careful who you use and meticulous with records, keep everything.Thats one thing I did right.
