Domestic LPG consumption

We have just run out of gas which has shocked me rather as we only had a delivery in April and hadn't expected to use too much since then.
This has prompted me to look at how much we have spent over the last 2 years which seems a lot at £115 per month average.

Just wondering how this compares to other users?

We are a 3 bed detached house built in 2017 with beyond building regs levels of insulation. We have a worcester bosch boiler, underfloor heating throughout the house (rarely used upstairs) and a gas hob. We do like it warm in the winter and we use the hob a lot, so we might use more than average, but still seems excessive.

I have a 4 bed stone house ,so so insulation ,used 1100,litres of gas last year,
Also have a brand new house built last year,so far since october it has used 300 ish litres of gas,so yours is excessive ,you got a leak

You don't mention how you store your gas (bulk tank?) or who you buy it from.
Luckily we sold our property that had LPG, but the whole business is run by a bunch of sharks - you need to look on the MSE LPG Forum http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=78 which has loads of useful guidelines, but you will see people paying 30ppl and others on 60ppl, with no option to change suppliers as they are locked into a 2 year contract.

Sorry it's bulk LPG. Last fill was April 4th, approximately 1100 litres.

We are with Calor as they put the tank in for us but plan to move to a local supplier, probably after this fill.

And what ppl are you paying?

But with oil, you can phone as many suppliers as you like and take the one you like the best.
With LPG, you don't get that option.
You can guarentee tbe price you pay for a year ,rhen if not happy move ,my 4 tanks are all signed for the next year ar 38.5ppl,so i fill all the tanks in the last week pf the contract .they all will last 18 months or so to next fill up.it really isnt difficult

And, from the MSE Forum ....

Good news, Woldlink have advised June pricing at 27.89ppl + 5% VAT for those on monthly pricing schedule. This is down over 3ppl from May level. This is in stark contrast to the petrol/diesel pricing levels recently.
