[BMVANNS]

This is a 2004 machine. I am replacing the deck drive belt. Instruction show to be run in figure of 8 pattern. This appears to clear all obstacles and turns the two blades the correct way.but the belt has to be twisted or the v section does not run through all v wheels.
Is this correct to have a twisted belt, as it seems to e vulnerable to excess wear.

Perhaps it needs the special type of belt with a Vee on both sides, available or various duties.

They normally have 2 twists, 1 across the back and 1 to the engine

Thanks, That is what I have. It does not seem good design to put the belt through extra twisting but maybe it gives the manufacturer more money!!

It does seem odd but to be fair, they used to give less trouble than all the other decks

Buy genuine or genuine spec belts. Last significantly longer
