IMHO that is totally the opposite of what should be done. Tariffs should remain unless the quality, regulation and standards of the products are similar. And even then people need jobs in the UK - WTO rules would not only have a tariff but a quota.

This policy wouldn't be so bad IF it was based on products which the UK does not produce - such as bananas.

However, IMHO the UK should attempt to reclaim some of the market share of home produce goods lost over the decades of EU manipulation.

You only have to look at him whenever he is with Barnier to see how he is totally submissive.

In fifty years time in the Moggorian calendar, when you might have recovered the original seventy EU trade deals you lost, don’t bother calling Japan.
