The old metal ICU guns were good.

Currently use a 30ml one like this

Very good, very reliable, easy to adjust.

There's less freebies getting handed out now it seems, and the last one I got were total crap.

Not yet. I'm hoping to have one (with the catcher to go with it) next spring!

I saw it at NSA South Sheep and thought it was an amazing idea. I can see such things becoming increasingly important as the spectre of worm resistance looms ever larger, and as an industry we come under pressure to use less drugs.

The Zolvix guns are great, but only hold up to 8ml. I have a couple of ancient Phillips & Henke (IIRC) guns that still work well. Tend to use freebies most of the time though.

15 ml zolvix gun would be great.

Zolvix gun really is very good, I'd *almost* even pay for one!

Esp as my painstakingly built up stock of free guns is know starting to diminish!

Get it bought Dave. You know you want the whole set...

Have entered the competition and keeping fingers crossed

TBH it would take some justifying for sheep, or at least my system,
As nearly all pour ons are set doses, ewe drenches are done in lambing pens - blanket dose, nearly all lamb dosing is pre-weaning- so I wouldn't be clamping them.

After weaning is the place it would work as I'm weighing every two weeks, but I'm moving to just drenching on DLWG (or lack of) so hopefully a big reduction in drenching.

IMO it's cattle where the big savings would be, we're slowly heading towards regular weighing of cattle, but realistically £800 buys alot of meds

Been building my stock up again steadily. Most of my lamb wormer has come through Wynnstay for the last 2 years. They always seem to have a 'farmer pack' of 12.5L of Ivermectin drench, with an FOC gun, for the price of 10L. They know how to sell to farmers.......just off a freebie/hidden cost item and we'll lap it up.(y)

Our local Fibrophos salesman called in yesterday with some free pens, just because he heard I'd had a spreader full from someone else. @Kevtherev
