Dowdeswell DP100

Hi specielists

Im Danish so I hope I spells okay
I just board an DP100 with 4 furrows

could any of you tell me the differents about the Mouldboard-types, there fits to it.

I notice that there is following types

DD body
SCN
UCN

My land is changing from light to heavy clay, so Im wondering what would be the best?

do they all fit for a DP 100?
I used to ploug with Kverneland Eg 100 body 28, which is going okay.

They don't look like dd boards , doesn't look like a dowdeswell either

That's his old plough.

DD fits onto one sort of frog, ucn and scn fit onto another sort of frog.

Mine is ucn.

That is a dowdeswell painted red with another brands skims fitted.

On ucn by look of it.
Not dd anyway.

I found out that it is UCN boards there is on now.

So it means that i can chose between UCN and SCN right?

what would be the best for clay?


I can tell you that all Dowdeswell ploughs is painted in red, in Denmark
but there have not been sold many

Scn are better boards , ucn are cheaper

What width of tyres are you ploughing with? The DD boards will let you squeeze a 650 tyre in the furrow bottom, like the KV no. 28 you’ve been using.
You’ll struggle to get it to match properly using wide tyres and UCN boards

Roughly an scn wuyill go deeper than ucn.
As with dd will go deeper and throw further than the dd light.
You might get ransoms or fiskars metal in Denmark to fit.

Definately will fit the scn/ucn were ransoms bodies used by dowdeswell as was a ycn but it wont fit your frog.
Dowdeswell didn't make a mould till the dd.
