Dp agri hydraulic farmers crush

Their normal hydraulic foot crush is an excellent product. We have one which is about 5 years old now and have been very pleased with it. They are a good company in every way and fully recommend.

Had mine 4 years. Really well built and preferred it to others we looked at due to have only one hydraulic pump compared to multiple electric motors. Not that we’ve ever needed them with the crush. Dealt with DP Agri on other products and their backup is top notch!

Upgrade of the standard hydraulic farmers crush with Kvk style front and rear feet holders and remote for front and rear door. Awesome piece of equipment.

Mine does lift. Not sure if it’s standard but 100% sure it can be spec’d with it.

100% recommend the lift up spec on any crush to ease the back ache of the job. When we got ours the lift up option was not available unless you wanted the dp agri contractor spec machine but we asked for it putting onto our crush and it was well worth paying the extra for.

Is DP agri I still run by Rob? If it is I’d stay well clear, mines 7 years old now and when we had it there was things that just didn’t work right, front door would never latch properly and we ended up making our own side doors for the front feet area as they put there heads through, also adjusted the angle off the front feet block aswell. Rob wasn’t willing to put any of it right. Said it was our problem.

If I buy another it will be a hooftrimmers hydraulic

I have to agree with you about the faults you have highlighted about the crushes. How the new bits highlighted in the op’s photo alter that I would hope it has rectified the issues.

I think like many things these evolve over time and become more refined, DP's crushes are no different. They have made lots of little tweaks here and there. I do believe they have cracked it now and i honestly couldn't fault mine. Cows walk in really well and if one hesitates then you bring the rear door down and give her a nudge. Feet are held nice and secure with no fuss and i feel totally safe trimming them.
One thing to note, i did have too upgrade my power supply too the shed where i foot trim. long extension leads are not upto it.
Not exactly sure what else you could wish for that can't be specified if you wanted. I really would recommend trying one and look at all the options and trimming some feet in them if you can.
3 years i spent trying to decide what suited my requirements and having a go on various options.

So what do people reckon is a reasonable amount to spend on a crush for 250 cows? Doing all own trimming. (Holsteins)
@Cows 'n grass @Splitpin have just got thensame crush as myself. Routined 200 cows in last 10 days, and its a breeze and dont feel knakard after doing so. Just another 400 to go.:banghead: but it will be worth it im sure.
Crush was 4800 quid, but bought with the aid of a 50% grant made it a no brainer. That said, its not stupid money even without the grant. I cant remember then make for a min, but its dutch.

It’s the one that hoofcare supplies import and I find it very easy to use. I got mine on the Grant also but I was looking before the scheme was announced. Even for me not milking big numbers with 150, Im certain I can justify it. Problem cows need picking up straight away

Remember it’s more than the crush but the whole handling. If you can fill a race up easily and keep cows feeding foot trimming is a joy. Mine have been complete and utter strokers lately about going in. My own fault because we’ve not got it set up properly after moving it. It’s exhausting when they just through the breaks on and then keep backing off and pee around. Makes a 2 minute trim a 15 minute job
