Draft control

Hi,

Just bought first tractor a lovely MF 35x, I move things around, logs, bricks, a little topping/flail mowing, towing my trailer etc.

1. I will never plough so where do I position the draft control lever for the above use?

2. My trailer has a hydraulic tipping ram and I think I have read the draft control lever can operate that?

Thanks

When you are using Position Control for things other than ploughing the Draft lever needs to be fully down.

If you have a tipping trailer pipe, with trailer connected lift the position lever fully up and then the draft lever, the trailer should tip.

If you do the above with no trailer connected the pump relief valve will operate, you will hear the engine change note. This is a favourite way to wreck the pumps so don't do it!

Sometimes a previous owner will have put a bolt in the draft quadrant to prevent the lever being lifted too high, you may need to remove it to tip your trailer.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
