drain jetter - pressure washer atachment

I was wondering the same thing! But it still seems a lot of money for a bit of pipe. I was wondering if it would be possible to get connectors for attaching the backwards facing jet and connector to the pressure washer to connect to blue alkathene. I've often used that for clearing drains instead of rods, sometimes attaching it to a tap in the yard. A lot safer than drain rods which are apt to come apart up the pipe (been there, done that). The alkathene could still be re-used for a water supply.

Any body used attachments to convert pressure washer to jet drains. just wondered if any good. seen one on ebay for £ 70 . would save a lot of digging
I bought the end bit for my 25m hose, cost about £8 from memory. Mine is a big electric K'archer washer

Goes up a 4 inch pipe on its own, I have to hold it back to clean more slowly, I also found (when you get to the blockage) that you can use it like a hoe and pull the stuff back.

Downside WEAR A MASK especially when you are cleaning sewer pipes or else be prepared to spend a lot of time in the bathroom, got tee shirt

I've got a Landy pto pressure washer with the jetting attachment.
Brilliant bit of kit.
It needs to be going full chat (1000 pto is 30l/min I think) once you get any length of pipe up the drain. Mine's got 100m of pipe, and if you're patient it's fine at full length, but a bit steady at the end.

I've the same(y),going to try some better hose as there is only so many times you can shorten it.

Matching your washer and nozzle is the hard bit,you need enough flow to pull itself up the pipe,if the holes in the nozzle are big they just don't move.

Bought a Stihl one off ebay for around £40 I think to clear a drain under 8 inches of concrete (so digging was out). Did the job along with drain rods, but nothing like the pressure of a commercial one.

Just been quoted £10 for a nozzle. Says you tale lance to bits and use trigger to control jet. but do you need a special type of hose. ie stiff so you can rod it or will hydraulic type hose do

This is what I don't understand. If the pipe is pulled forward by the force of the water pushing back (from the backwards facing jet), why does the pipe need to be so strong ("special type of hose") and wouldn't blue alkathene do the job? I can see the fittings might blow off but that pipe is pretty strong. I occasionally use blue alkathene to rod a drain while putting water through it from a yard tap. If there's an exit up the other end (say to a septic tank), the blockage can often be blown through.

The one we got from spaldings is good. The pipe is smaller diameter and lighter than the normal 3/8 hose used on our pressure washer. So it can pull itself down a drain pipe.

ours was from landy I think, you rotate the end to expose more or less of the hole thereby adjustable to suit different pumps or indeed more push for blocks or more spray for flushing
we use it with normal twin wire pressure hose can go atleast 45m up a 4 inch drain without much struggle, running from a 3phase electric washer.
