Normally coming up, they go around the "raised" roundabout and rear wheels ride up and over she goes, there was 2 in 2 days a month or so ago!

Whilst I would agree to a degree, you can fly a glider solo at 14yrs old, it was 16 but was dropped recently. So potentially young Jimmy could jump into his father's £150k+ hot ship and fly solo cross country, contending with airspace, other planes/gliders in a sometimes very high workload situation.
I think we forget quite how skilled some of these youngsters actually can be, I think the biggest hurdle is that of pay, an HGV driver would be on £1k/week or not far off while an average tractor jock would be about that per month.
I think just fixing a piece of 2" wooden batten under the pedal would help some of the twin beacon brigade!!
