Have you got much in the way of drought tolerant crops in the ground?None of the apps are showing any rain for the next fortnight, I’m already worried!
I’ve just cut everything off and put in the pit, feeling pleased with the size of heap, but I’ll be feeding the bloody stuff again if it is still dry in 2 weeks! I hate that extra workWtf it's only just drying up!FFS
If you get a drought, us southerners are totally buggered!we're still sodden here. Drought, yes please!
Not always, 2012 was dry in some northern parts. If you get a drought, us southerners are totally buggered!
I agree but enough moisture for a month . Always leave something not cut for cows even it's not the best quality .Toll it regrowsIf you get a drought, us southerners are totally buggered!
Walked some of our silage ground this morning and the ground is still too soft, unless I want to be digging out wagons, probably do 2/3rds of first cut this week and see what happens with the wet ground by then, worst case it will be hay, so I have enough feed for the drought .Wtf it's only just drying up!FFS
I have, I left 2 weeks worth, any rain in the last 10 days or next 10 days would have left everything rosey.I agree but enough moisture for a month . Always leave something not cut for cows even it's not the best quality .Toll it regrows
Yes but it won't be like this it will be 10°hotter.lovely atmI have, I left 2 weeks worth, any rain in the last 10 days or next 10 days would have left everything rosey.
But it’s swung dramatically from ridiculously wet to ridiculously dry.
I would love weather like this in July and August, but I bet it will be sh!t!
Hopefully. It will rain for the Royal Cornwall Show just you wait then til August I reckon
I bet its drying out with you fairly quick? Top of my farm is hard as a rock now, my muddy cow tracks that i was sliding across with the quad only 2-3 weeks ago have now set solidHopefully.
It's the wind, proper blowing in with some heat behind it
Rolling here today soft in placesI bet its drying out with you fairly quick? Top of my farm is hard as a rock now, my muddy cow tracks that i was sliding across with the quad only 2-3 weeks ago have now set solid
Bottom half of here is still wet but top half is dry as a bone, there's still moisture at the moment if you dig down but without some rain in the next 10 days it's gonna struggle. Almost unbelievable how quickly the weather has turned from Armageddon to Sahara conditionsRolling here today soft in places
Oh ffs , everything struggling to grow here the ground is so wetNone of the apps are showing any rain for the next fortnight, I’m already worried!
