Dry cow feeding.

Just wondering what way other jersey herds manage their dry cow diets? Had quite a bit of bother with sub clincial milk fever and ketosis last year and looking ideas to sort it for incoming calving season. Had been feeding haylage and a dry cow nut. Thanks

Id say your problem is overfat cows i feed same as you and get similar problems only with the late calvers who have been dry long and are fat

concrete, chopped straw and a good dry cow roll. Uncle found that out, before, used to be hell, milk fever, potassium shortage, downer cows etc, once he started the above, very little bother, and mag in water.
