No one is more up on the environment than Prince Charles and here he was actively promoting sustainable livestock farming . No mention of destocking to save the planet. He said the uplands only look as good as they do because of farmers. I loved the couple who have been on bodmin for 45 years. And it was just as good to see the young couple in Herefordshire who are just starting out. Let's hope Prince William has the same interest as his father.
Couldn't help but notice the irony of 'the Tesco ad' being aired during one of the breaks.

Great programme - if only others genuinely followed suit. I'm sure it's not rosy coloured specs in the cold light of day as the struggles of the two young 'new' farmers showed. And it's much easier for the Duchy to risk its investments and be philanthropic when it has a multi-million pound safety net. But still a good model that we all can learn something from.

G'wawn 'oss :)

Good to have a nose at other duchy tenancys, big difference across the estate on the level of investment on diffrent farms. Its a shame they continued to mention about future sons and grandsons careing for the estate, they dint mention once about any daughter farming in the future, thought it made it sound a very sexist industry, they have a mother and daughter tenacy close by doing a super job.

I expect if truth be known, that Prince Charles is very concerned about whether Prince William or Prince Harry will be as interested in the Duchy of Cornwall Estates as he himself has been.
I think Williams wife Kate would be a lot more supportive of her husband taking an interest in the Duchy rather than that Meghan supporting Harry.
I was privileged to have been a Duchy Tenant till I gave up the tenancy to have a go at farming Canada (which was a disaster ) ,that said nothing against Canada a great country.
