Eating out

Not sure about the claim they are fastidious about allergens when they sprinkle sesame on the buns. I expect one of those buns would kill me if I ate it. They will do a Big Mac on a plain bun if you ask but it is a right faff. I'd be happy if they just took the top off and replaced it with a plain one but they insist on remaking the whole thing.

being a sheltered child, i was in my late teens before i eat a sesame seed bun. i genuinely thought it must have fallen on a dung heap as it tasted exactly like when you get a splattering of cow sh!t in your mouth

You can get the McDonald’s ingredients list online is what I meant, it’s readily accessible. We’ve been to vegan places for my little boy as expected the food to be more “raw” it’s not.

I’ve a bit of a chip on my shoulder regarding vegan pretendy food because nut “milk” put said youngest son in intensive care for 4 days as a result of a massive allergic reaction.

Perhaps it’s unreasonable, but I look at it the same way as the Arabs look at road traffic accidents involving foreigners. If it wasn’t there, it wouldn’t of happened, therefore it is the fault of the nut milk.

I wouldn’t say Macy D’s is that bad........although it’s pretty much a place of last resort for me if nothing else is open...............I wouldn’t consider the vegan option .

Really? They have to put a gherkin in with their burgers to offset the sugar content of the buns so that it is not classed as a sweet 🤦🏻‍♂️

I was in a vegan cafe once - wasn't til I figured out what the hell was wrong with the milk (almond milk) with my cup.of tea that I realised we had unwittingly walked into a vegan establishment... the cake I had was really nice though 🤷🏻‍♂️ I am against veganism and wouldn't knowingly go near them

You have popped into town and are feeling peckish. Being 10am Sunday only two eateries are open; McDonalds and an independent vegan cafe. Which one gets your business, and why ?
If you'd said independent cafe and missed the vegan bit out I'd go to the cafe, if it was any good I'd go again. The thing about McDonalds is you know what you're getting and the drive thru is much handier.
I probably wouldn't be there at ten though, more a lunchtime thing.

Macy’s is more of a late night thing for me, been off somewhere and feeling peckish at some unearthly hour and most Macy’s are 24 hour and as you say, you know what you’re getting.
Out on the roads away from home during a week day and as I said up thread I’d rather a butty van in a lay-by, or a chippy if near a town.

Ronald McDonald without a doubt. Wouldn't set foot in a vegan lab, er, I mean shop or buy any vegan labelled product out of principle.

McDonald's food is just about acceptable. Cheap convenient calories as far as I'm concerned and always as a last resort. The quality of the burgers when they are on special offer are particularly nasty.

Though having said all that...I have an undiagnosed ice cream addiction and I'm off for a Creme Egg Mcflurry 🍦 😋

Never really ever had a Maccies until a few years back. I used to go across to Leicester to see Tigers playing, as my daughter was at Uni there. The late afternoon or evening games meant a hungry Steve on the way home, so I poopped into the Maccies just before the Motorway trip home...

I am afraid a vegan menu would probably not be of much appeal to me, @delilah
