Wasn't expecting much from this (BBC2 Sundays) but it looks like being an insightful series with Ed Balls being very personable and non judgemental in his approach and observations of who and why people support Trump.

I like watching Portillo, but not sure I can bring myself to give Balls a chance. Not very sporting, l know.Following his humiliating rejection by his constituents Mr Balls seems to have undergone rehabilitation by television. Behold... the new Michael Portillo!

I won't deny he's often smiling but it's not fake, rather a default. Find Messrs Blair and Balls when they think the camera is off - or don't know there is one about - and you'll see a different story.
