EID tag reader/software

It's probably been covered a few times already but what tag reader/software can everyone recommend for sheep records. Obviously with tag readers there is a huge variation (£200+) so don't want to spend money needlessly but need it to be up to the job. I want it to be handheld, easy to use, be able to do my medicine records with it, robust and ideally print straight from the reader! Am I asking too much?
Any help would be great!

I'm on all flex/ ilivestock. Think it's good although they did hike their tag prices recently which was quite annoying

They had a deal for reader app and iPad, but it was a few years ago and I forget what I paid

Hi, it all depends on what you are wishing to get from the reader. We have many users of the Tag-ie 2 reader which at the time proved a cheap solution to lambing results and data capture. I must admit we haven't heard from Tag-ie for ages and customers are experiencing "flaky" responses from them so not even sure if they are still in business? But if you can get a hold of one then they seem to work all be it in their own unique fashion. If you want other more robust options the Agrident AWR 300 and the Tru Test readers are very well made and supported but more expensive. Excellent peace's of kit though made to high standards of southern hemisphere tolerances. As for the software take your pick. We obviously have a solution which you are more than welcome to download and trial. And also check out Border Software, Shearwell, Sum-IT, Farmplan , and others but its very much a personal choice and how you respond to the various functionality and ease of use in your practical scenario. Happy to advise anytime so just ask.

Tag-ie used to be based in Devon but now appear to be in Dingwall, not sure if they moved or the company has been sold. Website says nothing in stock.
