Had an aga here for five years or so, its a 3 oven leccy one that has aims :( and runs on a 13amp socket. Just wondering what temperature you might run yours at?

i have a cheapy IR thermomter and it shows 430 deg C on the boiling plat, 260 odd on the simmering plate and 310 on the top of the roasting oven inside.

seems hot to me but the mrs did have boost etc switched on earlier, perhaps it just over shot the mark.

The thermostat had to be replaced on ours a month back. It was over heating then tripping an overheat switch that must be inside. Ours only 2 year old dual control electric

We run our 3door electric just a bit above the black on temperature gauge. If it's much hotter everything on simmering plate boils over which is a pain. Would put it a bit higher if there's going to be a lot done. Agas all about giving things time.
Been running it for 13 years now and never turned off.
