ouch! The spark blew his ring apart!
brings tears to your eyes just thinking about thatouch!
Well it was not in easy reach at the top of the pole- maybe just been there too long - almost all farmhouses round us would have a pole with a transformer not too far away - we certainly have and no protection around the poleGot to ask what was a "transformer " box doing in easy reach of a bull. Someone at the leccy company needs there arse kicked
That`s not the way the OP reads --Well it was not in easy reach at the top of the pole- maybe just been there too long - almost all farmhouses round us would have a pole with a transformer not too far away - we certainly have and no protection around the pole
you ever seen a bull scratching on a electric pole the pole gets a whip action going now imagine standing on top of that pole and the forces involvedThat`s not the way the OP reads --
" He had a itchy bum so scratched it on the electricity pole and knocked the transformer box off! "
That suggests something was not up to standard
The transformers are well up the poles - out of reach of an elephants backside never mind a bull but I see what you meanThat`s not the way the OP reads --

Bulls have some strength in their necks though, and electricity poles in the middle of fields are just too much of a temptation for them to rub on. Mine snapped the earth line where my supply comes off the main line at right angles. The transformer is on that pole as well. In fact he did it twice before i realised how it happened(kept shtum to the line engineers...........it was very windy through the night.) An inch of movement at the bottom of the pole can be nearly a foot at the top.The transformers are well up the poles - out of reach of an elephants backside never mind a bull but I see what you mean
For sure something not up to standard - the attachment to the pole- something our cattle check most days they are out in that field
