Have a Rutland one that points to direction of fault for 15 years. Still working well but I guess there are probably more sophisticated versions available these days.

Those speedrite things will say which direction the fault is in on any energiser but only turn on and off their own sort - and it has to be programmed in for the energiser - I bought 2 big mains energisers and had them the smae so that the gadget will switch on or off either.

Were I to need another energiser - unlikely unless they broke, I would have another again as the on-off function is brilliant on its own.

As above, Speedrite/TruTest type are about as good as they get.

They take a 9v battery which lasts ages, the Gallagher ones are more compact but use a cr2023 type button battery, they don't last as long and are a bit fiddlier to get all sealed up with a tiny thin o-ring gasket compared to the speedrite.

Both are great
