Has anyone on here recently put a electric gate up? if so what company supply the actuators and I'd prefer one with a key pad option as well as a fob what's the best types swing and pulled by actuator or the ones that run on a track? we've never had electric gates fitted before.
Thankyou that defiantly looks like what I'm looking for not too bothered about high security just want to be able to stop unwanted visitors at the bottom of the lane away from the farm if they need to be in they have my number to get a code ECT.I’ve had an automated gate for coming up 14 years, same motor but replaced the pcb when it got damp.
Have a keypad and phone control gave up with the fobs, you just set the gate as a speed dial and ring before you get to it (doesn’t charge for the call).
I used came equipment https://www.fhbrundle.co.uk/product...ng_Gate_Operator_Includes_Encoder_Single_Gate
It isn’t high security but keeps the riffraff opportunist out,If you want Fort Knox your best with a big sliding gate.
Be careful with DIY. Someone near here had a powered gate that bad killed a while ago, and they were in deep trouble. You need to be insured to install properly with full safety precautions in case it goes wrong.

Because if you ring the gate at a set point (1/4mile away) it’s open when you get to it,no waiting.eulb
Why did you give up with the fobs ?
we're in the process of making one just now and was going to go with the fobs but are they unreliable ?
