Speaking from experience, unless it's a very unusual, very large, or a very specialised motor, it will probably be cheaper to buy a new one. We took a shearing grinder motor to a place that came well recommended and they said we would be cheaper buying two new grinders than getting one rewound.

Severn rewinds used to do them but a long long long way away from you. But as said before t'is expensive.

We got a generator coil rewound (part of the old style load control) only to go a different route in the end, to get things going again.

We got a single phase motor rewound at Deebridge electrical in aberdeen couldn't get a new one they were half the price of another company
