Electric motor wiring

Has anyone any clue about this motor wiring.
Seems to be 3 phase at moment with 4 wires to it but the diagram seems to suggest it can be single phase. Is that correct? Its on an extractor fan.

That sticker is showing that it can be used with either a 400V 3 phase supply (like we have in this country) or a 230V 3 phase supply that you get in other countries like japan depending on which way you have the links inside the terminal box (shown by the thick black lines on the diagrams)
Shouldn’t be that hard to get a 1.5kW single phase motor to replace it though.

I'm no expert, but the links look to me like it can be wired (3phase) star or delta. Delta being the setup that makes it spin faster.
Normally to run a 3 phase motor on a single phase supply, you have to add a suitability sized capacitor to trick the motor into running.
But in my experience this is a bit of a fudge, as the capacitors often eventually blow (after a few years) and have to be replaced.

If you want to run it on single phase, use an inverter from somewhere likehttps://inverterdrive.com/ - a 230 volt inverter will make 230 volt 3 phase from 230 volt single phase input. Depending on starting load you may need the next size up from 1.5 kW

No problem with 3 phase where its going to be used. It's just the man who will wire it up wasn't sure if it could be used on single phase as that would of been preferable.

Fairly sure the label is describing 2x 3phase wiring methods, which are know as star and delta.
had to look it up. I see it is two different methods to wire for different voltages with 6 wires, and also accommodating European and US voltage in the same motor. Note the one place says 380-420 and the other says 380-460 which would almost fit American higher voltage three phase.

I've only seen 9 lead diagrams, not so much swapping star and delta here maybe?
