Has anyone used it to de rust bolts successfully

Yes. Its handy to do in a bucket washing soda crystals and and metal bar cant remember which way the electrode went but u will soon see.
Used a charger my father made up it was fairly powerful.

Lemon juice and a bit of salt works over about 24 to 48 hours and no electricity

U can buy , ive only recently realised, citric acid powder, crystals on ebay , not dear
Make ur own acid dip.

Its sold for bath bomb bubble things ????

Yes we do, but blast our small parts as its quicker for our process
But the op can search gateros plating site to see if their kits are what requires...

I used caustic soda, pretty good at removing grease and paint, skin eyes and anything else organic.
