Help, i need some advice i can understand, have asked the two teenagers in the house for help and I am more confused , one informs me she has 8 email addresses.
we have a windows 7 computer and use windows live mail for email
I use two old talktalk addresses for junk mail / salespeople / invoices which i can only receive on and we have a hotmail address which i limit to business emails with people i actually want to talk to.
four days ago it stopped working sending and receiving on the desktop, i can still read on my android phone
really annoying
do i have a fresh start with a different company , any advice gratefully received , keep it simple !

Yeah Microsoft have discontinued support for windows live mail. Probably to force us to upgrade to Windows 10 which has a built in email client.
There are plenty of other 3rd party programs that do the same as Windows live mail. I use this one.

Microsoft have also discontinued support for Windows XP, but it doesn't stop it working.

Maybe some of your settings have been miraculously changed with one of those famous 'upgrades'!!

Can you just clarify a little please.
You have three e mail addresses - 2 talktalk and one hotmail?
Do you have all these set to work with WLM?

A combination of win 10 update and live mail caused me to loose lots of email. Now running it all through outlook and it works fine.

yes plus another talktalk.one my wife uses and an outlook.com address for our local grassland soc. which i am involved with , all on the same live mail , just the hotmail isnt working , havent tried the outlook.com because i am outgoing on the committee.
