Any other Endurance E3120 owners out there having major problems with there turbines ? We are looking at replacing our second hub!! We had an over speed last year due to brake problems which caused damage to the hub which had to be replaced. Over the last year the Turbine has been making a knocking noise which i had been complaining to them about and had been checked 2 or 3 times and found nothing. Just recently been informed by our maintenance team that Endurance had not told them they needed to torque check it again and unfortunately the hub has moved and needs to be replace again!!

Which blade type as my round route has banged loudly from day one and even tho Endurance had a few half hearted attempts at fixing it still knocks/ bangs now. Endurance management where dreadful but the maintenance guys were great but had their hands very much tied by management:(

Unfortunately there are a lot of issues with the E-3120 that Endurance kept hidden from us maintainers. Hub movement is another example.

We are finding more and more turbines with hub movement. The problem is that the hub is held on by way of a pair of taper sleeves which are secured by tensioning bolts, over time they are coming loose.

These are fitted in the factory and the bolts are behind the brackets that hold the spinner. It is several hours work to remove everything to check the torque on the bolts (tie rods, spinner, spinner brackets, and synchroniser). We are starting to fit a modification that allows the taper sleeve bolts to be checked at every service. Hopefully this will address the issue.
