The ombudsman has just helped me out with Bionic...they were so helpful.
Bionic have given way finally and the funny thing is they want me to phone them so they can rearrange a new contract, fat chance of that happening(n)

The TFA suggested that they would fight my corner because it was a contractual agreement which would be covered under Legal Cover which I have with TFA. Might be worth a try?
I'm guessing Npower presented new evidence at the appeal. I hope you got to see the conclusion..remember all their calls should be logged and recorded!

I have just started a case with them against EDF. EDF removed a meter last year and 9 months later sent me a bill for that meter. EDF have been next to useless in trying to talk to them about having the meter removed from the system. With hindsight should have got some paper work, always get paperwork! 🤦‍♂️

I have pictures. What is annoying is that EDF seem to have no record of the work, which I cannot understand. All the onus is on me! I also try and keep any conversation to email rather than a phone call so I can keep a record of it.
I should learn from you, I have been far too trusting in the past:X3:

You have been lucky bobk, in my experience there is no loyalty bonus, quite the opposite infact, can always get better rates as new customer. Wish it was not the case, would love to stay loyal to somebody that looks after their customers rather than taking the p*ss and banging the rates up:mad:

Pretty hopeless, I just had a big run in withEON who installed a kill switch which created a fire hazard.

After 9 months they managed to get my offer raised from 300 to £350.

They seem to have no teeth and don’t want to get to stuck in.

I’m still livid that an engineer is out there doing unsafe work and no one cares

3 years fighting OVO energy and Energy Ombudsman in the end.
Their ALL in cahoots really and go through the formalities with each other and deadlines nonsense.

In reality still waiting to see if OVO Energy stand by the findings and on going all addressed as per Energy Ombudsman involvement.

Do Not agree with their first resolution and APPEAL it all.

Ovo energy the worst company EVER to deal with.😡😡😡😡😡

I could EASILY take them to the Energy Ombudsman with more disputes with our numerous accounts. 😡

I’m sorry to hear about your experience with Npower and the ombudsman. It’s incredibly frustrating when you feel like a neutral party isn’t really on your side.

I’ve had some dealings with the ombudsman in the past, and while my experience was more positive, I’ve heard similar stories to yours. It seems that the effectiveness of the ombudsman can vary depending on the specifics of the case and possibly the individuals handling it.

One piece of advice I can offer is to ensure you have all your documentation in order. Clearly present your case with detailed evidence of Npower’s unprofessional behavior and any discrepancies in billing or service. If you haven’t already, you might want to request a formal review or escalate your complaint within the ombudsman service itself.

Sometimes, persistence pays off. You could also consider reaching out to consumer rights groups or forums for additional support and advice. They can sometimes offer guidance or help you amplify your voice.

Stay strong, and don’t give up on seeking the resolution you deserve. If you’re willing to share more details, others might be able to offer more specific advice based on similar experiences.
Also the amount FB groups about actions against these companies is quite large by disgruntled customers.

Our dispute is on going, and the deadline for evidence is 4th June so i am just finalising my evidence for the Energy Ombudsman to consider. Yesterday i had a bill from EDF, which was now addressed to me with an old account number, been closed for a year, and set up for Direct Debit. I have not signed a mandate for this so i am not happy. I am going to cancel our DD with EDF at our end so they can not take the money, even though this will upset our other account. Fingers crossed for the Ombudsman!

If you close DD it may upset your credit ratings apparently.
Download on the energy Ombudsman system ALL photographic evidence, meters, serial numbers, photo of Bill's, mpan numbers etc etc as helps them too.

The what’s up with them is quite good for evidence if you haven’t tried it yet.

At one point I was messaging them whilst on the phone to them. Was given different answers at the same time!

I am currently being chased by SSE about an issue. I know the full details but it is nothing to do with me. I am now being chased by Capresolve as SSE obviously passed this "Debt" which is not, (long story and not sure I want to put it on here) on to this debt recovery firm. I have no idea how they have got my number but I guess by sleuthing through other matters. So I am getting a series of texts and auto phone calls telling me I must ring a number. I finally decided to contact them but after 20 minutes gave up after being passed from one automatic switchboard to another.
The whole industry is riddled with idiots , crooks and thieves
