Hi RJ

If your system is under 50kWp you need an EPC for a relevant building and that EPC must reach a level D - Or you need an exemption on all buildings supplied by the Solar array - In my experience you will not get this as you are heating the sheds and therefore need an EPC.

Make sure you have this in place before you go ahead as you will not make the anticipated returns

If you need further advice please feel free to give me a call

Kind Regards

Hi if your poultry shed is modern it should have no issues getting an EPC grade D
However it may qualify for an exemption as the heating is purely for the birds and not the operators.
The other option is if you have a toilet , wash room as most protocols insist. This block will be good enough provided it can get the EPC.

Hi
Exfarmer is right but most electricity companies are insisting on an EPC where there is any ability to change the climate (hot or cold)
My advice would be to ask the installer to do an EPC modelling exercise to be certain that with the PV the shed gets a 'D' rating

Thanks for your replys , building is new so insulation is to a high spec . It is a laying shed so no heating but fans for cooling so I guess we still need one .
