Lots of hobby size cylinder companies now.
I've been on CO2 for 10 years but it's nice to get back onto Argoshield now I'm doing more welding.
I've had a boc cylinder for the last few years, I've been meaning to change but the renewal never coincided with an empty bottle , this year it did, so I went to SGS gas, £80 deposit, no rental and £58 to fill a 20litre bottle. BOC rental on a Y size/20litre bottle is £99 a year.

Boc volkszone offer is half that on a y size.
Plus refills are cheaper I think and no admin fee to pay on collection like normal.

Im on air products , must check , they are all expensive like everything else a bit chopping and changing now n then dose good, like air products no need for gauges better than boc tho but still have gauges.

Recently had some prices from Boc on hobby gas and also commercial account. I’ll throw the prices up compared to quoted rent free supplier. Think they come out better if you’re using a fair amount of gas over rent free.

Never thought I would use my Oxford MIG Welder anymore so let my neighbor have it when he was restoring a Morris Minor.
Biggest mistake I ever made.
Well made solid but simple machine

if you use more than 2 bottles a year then boc hobby deal is cheapest over rent free

The commercial deal isn’t bad. Argasheild
£4.60 per month rent. Gas 26.31. That’s for half bottle.

Boc Hobby 47 rent. £36.50 re-fill again half size bottle.
Hobby worked out slightly more expensive on re-fill but has to be in personal name. Can’t be in business name. So can’t claim vat back as easily. Surprised they were so competitive.
