So it would seem ERIC has a new owner.

Nice timing, Friday evening, announcing this with a message on ERIC asking users to accept new T&Cs.

I have emailed MCloud with my disgust about this. Telling them that how they have handled this is very poor and that as they know we need constant ERIC access for the health of our turbines that it was blackmail to make us accept without a valid link to the T's and C's (even with a link I still consider it very poorly handled). I said that if I have inadvertently agreed to any subscription fee's then I likely wish to cancel under the remote selling laws (of the UK, although Mcolud are American). I hope we are all able to tell Mcloud to shove there ERIC access offer (assuming they are going to charge)......my dealer is in the process of developing an ERIC clone/replacement. Anyone know if other dealers have any ERIC replacement up and running? Hopefully we can all boycott MCloud if their fee's are horrendous (which I bet they will be). Cheers

I have just had this email response from MCloud - it seems my concerns were misplaced.....

Hi XXXX,I hope you are well.

I do apologize about the wording and accept button, rest assured it was not intended or anticipated to cause alarm or forced acceptance. It was due to a technical limitation, as the receiver has not completed the full transfer of control to mCloud yet, and my ability to change that button is not yet restored. Just an engineer's limitation, not a legal challenge or blackmail.

As I've also told your service provider already, please do rest assured it was not a legal term, nor are there any legal intentions from that letter. It was only meant to provide a friendly introduction and open communication in a process that's had little of it to date.

mCloud bring the best on intentions for turbine owners. There are no prices mentioned because they have opted to provide the service free of charge without contract for several months while they learn what other challenges need solving and to help owners join a community together where service providers can gain access to replacement parts and manuals that were previously bottled up at Endurance.

It was merely a friendly letter intended to reach the people it would provide relief to most. I hope this helps. You can find it at the link below.
