Actually according to this it's mosquitoes - but Cape Buffalo are up there. Having said that I don't think they are counting domestics because on a global basis I would have expected cattle to be there - after all just consider how many people are killed by cattle in the UK.
In the uk 74 people in 15 years according to HSE

Hippos are the biggest killer if you ignore insects, humans and snakes, closely followed by dogs. A friend has buffalo and they all seem really quiet, but I suppose any animal, when panic hits them, is dangerous. Hippos are just nasty. They are vegetarian so there is no need for them to kill humans, but they kill over 500 people a year.

I thought hippos too when biggest killer was mentioned but didn't want to sound stupid![emoji10][emoji85]
