Pound only getting weaker until Boris pulls the brexit pin.

Then it's only going into free fall.

Only way we'll be able to export.

Devaluing the currency worked for New Zealand when they removed subsidies.......

Nope, the markets always price the bad news in advance. The low point of the pound will be prior to Brexit, I'd expect it might actually rise afterwards. Which is good for this years BPS, as it'll be fixed right in the run up to the 31st...............its an ill wind.......

extra £10/ha on the bps if its stays at this level for september

It could well go lower. The markets hate uncertainty as much if not more than the actual 'bad' event in prospect. And one suspects there will be significant political uncertainty and upheaval once Parliament returns in early Sept. It could quite easily drop to parity around that point, just in time for the BPS fix. A Brexit Bonus for farmers.......

The First (and probably only) one then for the farming industry...

I always take a Halifax clarity card. No fees on foreign payments or cash withdrawals. As with credit cards, interest on cash withdrawal calculated until you pay it off. And the rate is set by MasterCard provided you select the local currency. A card payment today of £318 today would yield €345.32

+1 Minimise cash and use this abroad where possible.

For someone who has never used a credit card for borrowing, it's all I ever use now for personal spending, home or abroad. Debit card never leaves my wallet now. Set for monthly balance clearing. I feel a bit safer online too with the credit card, and I also use it through Android pay on my phone, so the card isn't often out either.

The only strange thing is the contactless aspect. Through Android or apple pay, the contactless is supposed to be limitless, unlike touching the card. But mine isn't. Have had it rejected a couple of times when spending three figures, and had to get the actual card out.
