Had a couple like that in the past couple years. Always treated it like listeriosis and jabbed with LA ab for a week every couple days saved one and lost the other.
thanks for the reply but the thing is it is only 5 months old and is on very good grass and hasn't been fed any silage.

It was heptavaced 4 weeks old then 5 weeks after that, and I know what you mean the symptoms are similar but the cause of getting it doesn't match up, it should only affect sheep and it's to do with poor feed

I know I was the same grazing only situation but was all I could think of treatment wise at the time as wouldn't of waited for the vet to come out. In hindsight should of pm the one that died but is all I can advise on similar experience.

I would, the one that died managed to rally enough to paddle lopsided around a field a week late but one that lived did well after double dose of LA ab every couple days for a week. Think the key is to overwhelm whatever bacteria is attacking the nervous system. Not to sound morbid but would be interesting to hear the result of a pm if it's needed.

Yea I've just looked it up and it sounds like it could be because we have just moved the lambs a week ago onto very lush grass with clover in
Needs injecting with B1,occasionally they will come round, had 3 or 4 last year but been clear this time.once had one lay flat out for 8 or 9 days kicking on its side and it came round,i could prop it up and it would drink water and eat cake out of my hand.
But they usually die!
