Ewe leg swallen

Hi everybody got back from work tonight noticed a lame ewe with a massive swollen leg injected her with pen strep checked to see if there was a broken needle in her leg or anything of sort nothing found, what do you guy think it is?

She was perfectly fine yesterday injected with pmsg 3 days ago and all over sudden swollen like a bloody elephant leg

Is she vaccinated?

maybe not if vaccinated. I saw it once from injecting wet sheep with PMSG. Used to get occasional reactions to prostaglandin injections in cows too.

Something like a broken leg or other infection possible. Is she marked? Does she have a temperature? Is it a valuable animal?

get her checked by the vet? Take in well bedded trailer/vehicle or call out in the morning?

yes will do in the morning, given her penicillin

No gave the last shot of it to my neighbour who helped me inject cattle over the weekend

You shouldn't be injecting your neighbour - these are veterinary drugs.

Bugger for the sake of your sheep. Get another bottle when you get the ewe looked at tomorrow.
