Experienced Man Seeking Full Time Work

I left school in 2005 to come home to work and help run the family farm business. In that time I've covered allot of tractor work, combine and livestock work.

We gave up cereals last year due to the fact that we couldn't afford buying another combine and one pass unit. We grew 200 acres of spring barley and 100 acres of oats, we didn't see it viable spending money that couldn't be justified.

I've got experience of ploughing sowing and combining. Our plough is a lemken juwel 5f reversible, Our one pass was a 3m amazone, grain only and our combine was a john deere 1188 hydro, 16 ft cut. I applied the granular fertiliser after the cereals were sown using a amazone 24m spreader. I don't have spraying certificates but I used a hardi commander 24m sprayer. I've carried out dung spreading with a rear discharge 10tonne bunning spreader, sown grass seed with a 6 metre opico grass harrow. Silage work including mowing, tedding, raking, baling and wrapping and stacking. Also I have got GPS with out auto steer.

I'm self-employed and I'm looking for a full-time job and would like to get more experience on a larger scale farm.

I'm very keen and enthusiastic about livestock, we carry 20 Simmental cross and 200 beltex cross ewes. With our cattle I clip, dose and trim feet and tag. Our sheep I dose, pair feet, dip and also tag. We get a contractor to clip the sheep however. My father and I used to work for a local seed potato grower who is no longer functioning.

For them I operated the following,

1. Operating a Grimme GL32 potato planter

2. Stone separating, using a Reekie Netagco separator

3. Bedtilling, using various tillers and ploughs

4. Grubbing, using a 13 leg KV grubber

5. Irrigating potatoes, using a Wright Rain Irrigamatic

6.Operated a Grimme GT 170s harvester.

I'd like to get more experience at arable farming on a larger scale. I'm also married and have a family of three kids. Recently, my father invested in a Trimble gps system, auto guidance and steer which now I am competent with. I am used to operating tractors ranging from 150 - 280hp

I'm 28 years old and I have a clean, valid and full uk driving license including towing.

I have a certificate of competence with tractors with or without front end loaders and all attachments and my forklift certificate.

If you/s would like to know anymore please contact me on 07784974474, I'd only be more than happy to answer any questions
