Maybe not be we don't have stones, its on about a 9" leg spacing for OSR so thought I would try before I messed around making a new frame.
Biggest issue i have is getting stuff to go in so I like these legs as there is no give get sick of smashing sprung tines when the clay starts to bake.
Yes and the concept appears fine but we farm some heavy clays so I thought the field looked ok on top, but basically cut slots in plasticine and blocked the packer solid after about 20 Yards So will wait for it to dry out.
We have one field that's light enough to grow beet so took it in their before it's drilled and did a couple of runs and it appeared to work a treat.
Good deal. I'd like to hear more as you get the chance to use it in other fields. I always like to hear how others that experiment with new ideas get along with their equipment. I should have some new openers for this spring in a day or two. I bought them from Kile in Washington state. They are a low disturbance, paired row that can plant small seeds shallow. Looking forward to giving them a try in our soils.
