My 185 s1 some strings are snapping Under bale and seem to be getting more, they look like they have been cut part way through. I've been trying to find something sharp but without success. Any ideas whats likely to be cutting it? Typically is outside string doing it, and kinda think it's possibly done it on both sides. Was maybe 1or2 in a hundred but today might of been 5+ per hundred. And sods law it was hay wouldn't a been so bad if was wrapping them

if in straw running at high pressure when the ram strokes the bands can run quite slack until it starts exiting the chamber and the bands tighten up, on our quadrant the end bands sometimes loop over a bolt head, doesnt happen often but in one field as we were at high pressure and a strong wind kept blowing the band over this bolt head. could be something along them lines

Been trying to run my hand everywhere twine goes thinking if there something sharp enough to cut twine would maybe scratch my hand at least

Have you checked the rollers in your needles? Have known them get tight or the string to get jammed between roller and needle, this was on a new holland baler but I assume a massey to be the same in principle.
