It’s put some down since the end of August must be unbelievable

Wetter further up the valley earlier but yes the last few weeks have been terrible. It’s that sort of feeling every day when you are wondering if it will ever stop.
Quite often we have it wet until new year then it sort of dries up a bit.
All yours ends up down our way
Going to turn out a higher than average rainfall year here in Perthshire.
Average rainfall 800mm. Currently on 765mm for year
August 122mm, Av 92mm
Sept 160mm, Av 46mm
Oct 92mm, Av 83mm
Nov 50mm so far & forecast to rain non stop for next 48 hours.
The drought fast becoming a distant memory.

Father used to talk about the drought of 76 started raining in third week in September and never stopped

Thats right, next two years were terrible, lot of harvest lost both years. It started bale silage in a big way as hay was almost imposable.

Forecast was for heavy rain last night and all today - so far its just dampened the ground. I was intending having a day in the office but heading out hedgelaying instead

Was the 6th. Of September with us. Took in the last load of bales as the rain started after an early harvest. Rained solid for 3weeks. Neighbour had a lot of oats to cut. They were pretty much knackered by the time he got to them.
