20 odd yrs ago I answered and ad in the paper for a bloke wanting winter keep for 275 Welsh ewe lambs . I very carefully put an electric fence down the side of a 41 acre field ....new fencer ....new battery ....all was good .
Next day no sheep to be seen and fence completely destroyed ....... learnt very quickly about taking Welsh lambs on tack !!

Still take hundreds but a bit wiser now !

Luckily I have a woman who runs it all and she's one you don't mess with. Basically 1 strike and they are out. She's self employed and makes her money from doing full liveries and extra duties I. E turn out etc

Had a friend who ran liveries and reckoned it required a Woman to run it properly. Not so swayed by female tears for starters....

We thought about a bit of livery . The OH was quite clear that she would run it if we did ...... reckoned that a big pair of tits and a bucket of tears and I would give in too easily ....

we had 15, useful income, not to much hassle, l ran a 1 warning then out. Missed the money, but never regret stopping.

Daughter runs a livery yard, about 20 horses. Get her going she's rabid. Runs it without any grief as all the tackers don't like cowering in a corner if they upset her. Generally a pretty happy place as they all know the rules and have them in writing.
