fabricating a steel frame shed 50x75x14 15' pitch...putting a cutting list together

Location
somerset
i'm a virgin in the is area so go easy on me.
Id normally buy my steel from dyfed steels, my question is can i call them and tell them the size of shed and steel i want to use and they'd do me a cut list with angles, plates, haunches etc or will they ask me to come back with all of that? obviously if it was a Monday id just ring and ask.
thanks in advance!

I would pay for the design and cutting list then there is no guess work or head scratching inc purlin sizes, holes punching etc would be the best money spent on the build in my opinion and probably cheaper than trying to measure up and copy another shed etc

No, you'd need to provide them with a cutting list either through paper drawings or .nc files for them to work with. You'll struggle to find any stockholder that would take on that level of responsibility for you.

There are a few people on here that could help you in putting together those lists or even work up a full set of fabrication drawings (myself included). Would suggest that once you've got this to hand, you can then approach your stockholder for a price. Do shop it around a few though as you'll be surprised at the price difference.

Thankyou gentlemen for your swift response.
@AJR75 would you give me a price to put together a cut list for me?
For the plates with holes, am I best to ask a laser cutting company and cut from sheet or gillotined plates with punched holes?

Yes of course, that's fine- if you drop me a pm with your requirements, can price up for you no problem.

Ref the plates- either is fine but if going down the processed route you'll find that most suppliers are offering plates cut with high definition plasma.

Have you actually priced a kit as there won’t be much in it usually if you’re buying steel from local stockist and want them to cut it. The lads doing sheds everyday buy artic loads of lengths at half the price we can, cut everything from template and punch all holes on metalworker or simikar with a Jig. I did a monopitch two bay frame last year and the small bits like haunches, cleats, end plates took more time than I had thought and I had plenty of staff ? ?

Last steel I had was from Pulham, worth a call for price.

I've made sheds and unless you get some cheap or secondhand steel its not really worth it. I've got a shed that I made from a demo'd industrial building that I paid not much more than scrap for, but cost a lot more than expected to make right, nice to have something you've made though

Boggy.
If it's a standard size, then a kit will probably be cheaper.
If it needs to be an odd size, shape, or needs to include specific features, then do it yourself, as you can't get fabricators to divert from standard sizes without i) making a cock of it or ii)robbing you blind.
