Has anyone fitted fan ventilation for there pig finishing sheds ? Seeing growth rates drop considerably in hot weather made me think it would possibly be worth the investment to improve health and welfare and increase growth rates in hot/damp/still conditions. Would also consider fan power on a renewable based system.

yes we used to have 3 fans in the apex of the building blowing through those tapered ( to keep air pressure consistent) plastic tubes with holes in for full length of the building , worked by thermostat was quite enclosed buildings back then though, older type piggeries,
I don't do it nowadays and it was before renewables and cost a packet to run at certain times, taking the cream right of the cake.
But anything that creates air movement in this sort of heat would help
