Currently struggling a bit to get the atmosphere right in my sheds during the winter.
As we haven’t had long periods of cold weather this winter, I’m finding it more difficult than ever with warm day temps, rain wind, then cold night temps but not really cold.
The sheds work on m3/kg/h
Rightly or wrong my vent program works like this
Day 0 42g 1.0m3/kg/h
Day 7 0.200kg 1.1m3/kg/h
Day 14 0.500kg 0.950m3/kg/h
Day 21 1kg 0.850m3/kg/h
Day 28 1.5kg 0.750m3/kg/h
Day 35 2.15kg 0.650m3/kg/h
Day 42 2.8kg 0.650m3/kg/h

I have a co2 influence on set at 2700, and low outside temp influence of 0.9 which starts kicking in when the outside temp goes below 12 deg.
But I find sometimes you go in the sheds in the evening and the atmosphere is too fresh, and the birds are flat with little activity.

How does this vent program compare to others?

I can have a look at ours tomorrow, we have summer settings and winter settings we change, your settings look similar to ours, how many pascals of pressure are you running at? we had to play with ours a lot to get it somewhere near right, but still need some adjusting depending on the weather but usually just put a influence on, what is the main problem you are finding?

Couple of things really, sheds sometimes feel a bit stuffy, so I up the ventilation a bit, but the birds just go flat, the litter is always hard to keep, as my processor is paying large amounts of money on hock and podo.
I start chicks off on 38 pascals in the first 2 weeks, then up to 40 in the third week then 44 in the last week.
Sheds are 80 feet wide which and 10 degree pitch which if I was building more sheds I’d go narrower and stepper pitch, air drop is my biggest issue I think on litter
I have every other inlet open on 2 fans on timed, then all the inlets when on 3 fans on timed, doing 3 minute cycles
Are you on MMT sheds?

Our processor also pays a good bonus on podo on clear, as processor has been going through a bad spell with the feed lately and that has made the litter very hard to keep dry, our sheds are 80ft wide, some with the old yellow tpi vents and we close 1 in 3 of them up to about 10 days, then got the wider fantura vent, our fans are cycling but cant remember what the cycle is exactly without having a look.

I feel your pain with regards to trial and error with ventilation settings, if only there was a hand book that told you what settings you should set for the perfect environment lol

Have you tried smoking your sheds to get the vents set correctly? You could potentially be getting a clash of air with the air speed being a little too high and travelling past the fans. The clash of air will just send cold moist air to the ground setting the litter off. OR the air being drawn in might not have enough speed and just be dropping short. What I will say, if you plan on smoking your ventilation, do it on a low wind day.
